About Lens Calibration

Why Camera Lens Calibration Matters

Even a high-quality broadcast or cinema lens gradually drifts out of calibration. Impact, temperature cycles, heavy use, and mount changes all introduce small but meaningful shifts in optical alignment. The result — soft images, focus that doesn’t hold through the zoom range, or back focus that drifts in the field — can be invisible to the eye until it shows up on a monitor or in post-production.

Our camera lens calibration service uses manufacturer-specified test equipment — including collimators, resolution charts, and MTF analysis — to set precise alignment values and document the results. Every calibration comes with a written report so you have a performance baseline on record.
